Dear Miss Leigh,

Very nice blog. I stumbled upon your messaages in FPN and I saw that you were from Manila. I checked your profile and it led me to your beautiful website. I'm an ardent pen lover with a very modest set of fountain pens (unlike your humongous and precious collection). I discovered nib customization through Richard Binder years ago when I had my M600 nib repaired and I ordered an oblique M200 steel nib. Since then, I've had several pens regrounded to cursive italics and stubs.

Your flexible nibs are awesome and I just love your Spencerian scripts. I've been wanting to get a flexy vintage pen but I haven't gotten one yet. I have been hesitant to order from sites like FPN and Pentrace. Previously, I've ordered from Pen City, Pendemonium, Penstoponline, and of course from Richard Binder.

I want to have some nibs regrounded and some pens tweaked and I would like to ask you who to recommend. I've only tried Richard Binder but there are others such as "the Mottishaw", Deb Kinney, Greg Minuskin, Dillon Ang and others. I've e-mailed Greg and Dillon and they told me to send my pens. How is your experience with the nibmeisters you've tried?

Shipping the pens abroad is quite expensive and the regrinding fees are quite substantial (in equivalent pesos) and it's difficult to send pens back -- hence, I want to get as much info before I send my bunch of pens.

I sincerely hope you can spare some time to feedback.

Just in case, my e-mail address is abadsantos@gmail.com

Best regards.

It was the Molteni Heritage model. Only 22 made or so the barrel says. It's a duplicate of the 2006 Bexley owners club pen which I aways wanted. The difference is that this one was in a blue marbled material and differed from the two colors the Bexley came in. I was too late in trying to purchase it, someone got ahead of me. C'est la vie. I saw the outletline offerings and some look very nice. However, for reasons that are totally devoid of logic I don't like cartridge or converter filling pens. It's probably for the best, I've bought a spate of pens recently and I really should slow down. The odd fact is that I don't have any artistic talent and don't write many letters. And I'm left handed. And my career has been in printing/publshing which means I should be more concerned with whats on a computer screen. But despite that I still use fountain pens. Maybe I'm just contrary.
